Dates: Thursday, January 11 & 25
Time: 6:00p – 8:00p
Skill Level: Advanced beginner

Skills learned in this class include the garter tab cast on, super loose bind off, and picking up stitches.
About 155 yards of worsted-weight yarn, or 220 yards of sport weight, and 2 stitch markers. See note below about gauge and needle size.
Class length is 2 sessions of about 2 hours each.
Pattern available in the shop or from Ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zuzus-petals
Gauge: The pattern suggests for sport weight yarns: 22 sts = 4”, suggested needle size US 5 or 6 (3.75 or 4mm) or for worsted weight yarns: 19 sts = 4”, suggested needle size US 8 or 9 (5 or 5.5mm). There are few subtleties to the fit of this pattern. Gauge could be an issue if you are worried about running out of yarn. If you think gauge will be an issue, please have your gauge figured out before class. With only 2 sessions, there isn’t enough time in class to check gauge.
All the style of a shawlette without the fuss of trying to keep it around your neck! This easy to wear cowl is designed to mimic the look of a shawl casually draped as a scarf. It is also a nice (and easy) introduction to lace knitting.
