Class Description

Do you have a worsted weight pattern in mind but nothing but fingering weight in your stash?  Have you discovered that you hate knitting with lace weight (that's me!) but can't bear to part with many skeins you've accumulated?  Then this is the perfect class for you!

In this class you will learn how to Navajo ply a fingering-weight yarn as you knit in order to create a heavier yarn for the project. This is a great way to use some of the wonderful self-striping sock yarns to make a nice warm hat that knits up quickly because Navajo plying preserves the color stripes!

Skills learned in this class include knitting Navajo plying, knitting in the round, and a simple pattern that incorporates yarn overs and slip, slip, knit.

This is a great class for advanced beginners, or anyone who wants to learn a new and versatile skill.

Class length is one session of about 2 hours.
