Have you already learned to crochet in the round, and are ready for a challenge? How about a 12-pointed chevron patterned blanket? This pattern is written as a baby blanket, but can be continued be made into a throw as large as you desire. This pattern calls for a combination of solid colors to create a particular stripped pattern -OR- you can opt to use Jewelspun, which will produce a beautiful pattern and leave you with less ends to weave in!
Pattern used: Rainbow Ripple Baby Blanket (12-pointed star) by Celeste Young. This pattern is available as a free Ravelry Download.
Skills & Stitches used: in-the-round rows, double crochet stitches and chevron patterning (which uses shell stitches and skipped stitches)
· size H8/(5.0 mm) crochet hook
· For Baby blanket size: 2 balls of Jewelspun Yarn or approximately 1,000 yards of other worsted weight yarn of choice. If you opt for striped blanket, check the pattern for specific yardage of each color.
